Exhibition of Art and Literature by “Happy Children – Happy Youth”

Painters, printmakers, and sculptors, renowned for their artistic work, are once again offering their works by participating in the long-standing Exhibition of Art and Literature, organized for the 28th time—since 1964—by the “Happy Children—Happy Youth” Summer Camps.

Renowned, talented visual artists, continuing the traditionally close relationship between artists and the works of Father G. Pyronakis, donated their works to raise the funds needed for the organization’s activities.

From November 3 to 12, 2026, at the “Melina” Cultural Center of the Municipality of Athens, 100 works by 80 artists (painters, printmakers, sculptors) and dozens of books—donated by major publishing houses and authors—will be on display.

The exhibition opening will take place on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., while on Sunday, November 8, at 12:30 p.m., a musical event will be held at the exhibition venue, which will give visitors the opportunity to enjoy six guitarists performing classical music and works by Manos Hadjidakis.

The exhibition is organized by “Happy Children – Happy Youth” with the support of the Organization for Culture, Sports, and Youth of the Municipality of Athens.

Proceeds from the exhibition will be used to fund inspirational and creative activities organized for children and young people, primarily covering the cost of free accommodation for 120 children from low-income or troubled families at the summer camps on Mount Pateras.

Hours: Tuesday–Friday 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., Saturday–Sunday 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., closed Mondays. Free admission.
